Question about Server Status

How about putting up a sticky with "Server Status: Up" or "Server Status: Down" ?

We are currently discussing options on that. The best solution would be something actually linked to the server vs manual posting. Have to get that figured out. Chris will continue to post updates in regards to that for now so if you don't see anything from him current server status is still down.

i have a question about the update.. im fully synced root and roms . restarted pc and still when neatmouse/restartoncrash/joy2key load and pop up when my computer start. Joy2key is only showing Hyperspin default control config and nothing else.. i used to have like 20 things in the menu? Is the normal and the way its ment to be now?

Yes this is correct, Chris changed the unified controls over so joytokey only has one profile now.

Wondering the same thing. I was in the middle of a sync update and all of the sudden it lost connection and won't sign back in.

I've confirmed this issue, doesn't mean the profile is deleted but probably means the server is down. Server status updated to "DOWN" until we hear back from Chris with an update. Sometimes if he is uploading new content he needs to temporarily disable downloading so he can get the transfer speed to send his new material.

I guess the bigger question is what if you were downloading and it got shut down in the middle? Could we just pick up where we left off or so we have to start again from scratch?

It should still pick up where you left off. The way it works is it compares the files from the server to your drive and fills in any files until it makes a mirror copy. So when you turn PC back on and redo it, it should skip over all files already installed and begin wherever it was stopped or shut down. Basically it begins when it detects the drive no longer matches the server.

Servers are up again! Make sure to overwrite the syncovery.ini file with the latest one before running sync. Just be sure to follow setup instructions all the way through and still expect to have to tweak things even after you're done.

The last Suncovery profile I received was on September 1st. Is that the profile we are supposed to be using or was their another one sent out?

Yes that's the one, I only say to redo the overwrite of the ini file because that's what I was told to do when it was released.

OK last question. Everything is uploaded except this one file:

\Arcade\Tools\JoyToKey_en 5.8.1 (CLM)\JoyToKey.log (Transfer error at 0000000001D73011.CP: TGGetOrPutEX:Transfer error)


How do I fix that? Also after the update and am I suppose to click on something to make sure all the changes take affect or does it do it automatically?

You are correct, we are writing up a how to guide that i am hoping makes it way to the drive eventually. Hopefully that will address everything. I am going to be talking to James as well to see if he can make a program that automates the update process. No idea if that is possible though.
