When launching game the screen dims making it darker

Hello does someone know what cause the game to dim and get slightly darker it happens to ever game system ps1 sega etc.... when you start the game?

if its only happening in one or two emulators, I would have said go into the emulator and look for a "brightness" setting or similar in the emulator controls. Some of them let you tweak this - you may need to change it to match your regular video display so that you don't notice the change when launching.

If its happening in everything, maybe its something else though. I don't think rocketlauncher has a global setting for this, but I'm not sure what else would be having an impact on every game system.
