Help regarding multiple encoders and Chris' control system
I recently found out I will need two encoders for my 4 player panel due to the amount of LED's I will be using. Both encoders support 4 players.
Now, after looking back to the "setting up IPAC" images provided, it shows you need to have the controls wired a specific way to work with Xarcade. Here is my question. Would it still work if I followed those directions except instead of wiring all 4 players on the same board, can I wire players 3 and 4 onto the second board under players 1 and 2?
I was told the encoders will have two separate ID's so the Ultimarc software will pick up two separate encoders. I know we can use multiple encoders but I need to know if this particular idea works or if I need to have all 4 players on the same board, in their matching sections.
Thank you.

yes, you can wire player 1 and 2 to encoder 1, and player 2 and 3 to encoder 2. make sure there are no keys used twice between the encoders. I use a Ipac Ultimate because it has so many inputs, works with my 4 player.

So ultimately it only matters what keys you map to the buttons rather than exactly where on the encoder they are wired to?

I am using 2 ultimate I/O control boards and am having trouble getting players 2-4 working in various games. Could you share what you have done?
