Setup password? Empty Setup password?

I just received my 8TB drive.  But I haven't received a setup password.
The install tutorial video says it comes with the drive or is emailed.
I haven't received any emails since I ordered the drive & never got a reply to the only email I've sent Chris.
So where does the password come from?

I can't check the drive itself because I didn't realise it would be a powered drive, so I'll have to buy an adapter for the American plug tomorrow.
is it a text file on the drive or something?

the reference in the setup video to the pw being emailed to you is outdated; use the password from the pinned post on the fb "update" page.  note, there are separate pw's for installation and update.

No, that is the general page which is basically just new wheels and the free/promo drive.
there is a different group page with announcements for paid users on updating. Only Chris can add you to that second group - no one else. Its a case of email and wait for response (his requested approach) or hit him up on fb (which he says is not preferred but might get quicker results).

note too that due to a recent change in facebook layout, you might have to check under "Announcements" to see the pinned post - several ppl have posted about not being able to find it. I know that I don't even see the "Announcements" tab on the fb client I use on my ipad, but I see it fine via web or my mobile.

I emailed him on August 9 & haven't had a reply. I've just left him a message on Facebook so I'll see what happens. Don't like to bug the guy. He must be very busy. But my custom NeoGeo cab will be ready this weekend, so I want to set the whole thing up.

Ignore that. Once I bought a travel adapter so I could plug the drive in, I found that the setup and update passwords are on the drive. Hopefully the install video will be updated at some stage.

It appears you didn't read all the instructions/email on it... The email when you initially get the drive explains the OPTIONAL updates. You need to join the facebook group and it's in the pinned post, but only Chris can add you since only he can verify if you purchased the drive. Then you need to find the "Pinned Post" in the Announcements section, and that will explain the rest.
